I
am a native of Silver Spring, Maryland. I graduated from Our
Lady of Good Counsel High School before attending Indiana
University. At IU I was on the varsity swim team and graduated with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and in Economics. After college I worked
in the field of accounting and finance for several years before I decided to make
a change.
My
interest in Chinese medicine began while studying Tai Chi and Kung Fu at the Hung
Tao Choy Mei Academy in Washington, DC. I received my Master
of Acupuncture from the Tai
Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts, the oldest
accredited acupuncture program in the United States. I am licensed
by the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture.
My
acupuncture practice is at the Spectrum
Center for Natural Medicine in downtown Silver Spring. I am enriching
my practice through the study of Chinese herbs and medicinals. Currently I am
doing a clinical internship in Chinese herbology at the Tai Sophia Institute in
Laurel, MD.
